eLTER at EGU 2019

12 May 2019

eLTER reps including Michael Mirtl (chair of eLTER, from EAA, Austria), Nick Arnaud (CNRS, France) and Roland Baatz (Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany) were in Vienna last week at the annual conference of the European Geosciences Union (EGU). They joined representatives of many other European environmental research infrastructures (RIs) at the ENVRI community booth. This popular exhibition stand was a source of information about RIs covering many environmental domains (solid earth, ecosystem/biosphere, atmosphere, aquatic and multi-domain RIs). One of the activities organised a the booth was a programme of lunchtime talks, to which Michael, Nick and Roland contributed:

Monday, 12:45-13:00 - Nick Arnaud: 'Integrating the critical zone research community into the RI business'

Tuesday, 13:00-13:10 - Michael Mirtl: 'eLTER's Whole System Approach & cross-disciplinarity for the Live Supporting System'

Wednesday, 12:45-13:00 - Roland Baatz: 'Long-term ecosystem research for food security in a sustainable bioeconomy'
