Two eLTER-related open positions at University of Helsinki, Finland

The Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Helsinki is inviting applications for two staff scientist (hereafter: university researcher) positions for a five-year contract, starting as soon as possible or from 1 March 2024 onwards.

The application deadline for both positions is 31 January 2024.


Position 1: A university researcher at SMEAR-Agri station (Station for Measuring Ecosystem-Atmosphere Relations) with the main task of being responsible for the station’s long-term atmospheric and soil measurements, data processing and linkages to international research infrastructures like eLTER and AnaEE RI.  Learn more here.


Position 2: А university researcher at SMEAR II station (Station for Measuring forest Ecosystem-Atmosphere Relations) with the main task of being responsible of the station´s long-term ecophysiological and soil measurements, in particular their linkages to eLTER RI. You will work as a part of SMEAR II team and your responsibilities cover for example maintenance and development of the continuous tree and soil measurements and planning, conducting and supervising various field measurements and samplings.
