University of Helsinki organises an Autumn School about atmosphere-ecosystem interactions and feedbacks

On 2 - 9 October 2023, the Institute for Atmospheric and Earth System Research INAR at the University of Helsinki will organise an Autumn School  "Analysis of Atmosphere-Surface Interactions and Feedbacks".

This 5 ECTS course is aimed at Master's students in atmospheric, biospheric and Earth system sciences. Doctoral researchers are also eligible to apply. The course is organised at Hyytiälä forestry field station in Finland.

The focus of the course is the analysis of atmosphere-ecosystem interactions and feedbacks based on the long-term datasets gathered at the Hyytiälä SMEAR II station. The course is implemented by working in small groups using programming tools (Matlab, Python, R) for statistical analyses and data visualisation. Lectures on relevant topics will be given during the course.
